The pupils have made the kite tip which will be part of the European kite . They were very motivated to ensure that our school was well represented .
Lilly and Romy created their kite because they loved this project!
After the Italian’s meeting, we continued to work with kites.
In mathematics… symetrie
And in art, Céline loves the kites stained glass that she saw in Italy. So we decided to do the same.
We took advantage of the sunny spring days to continue working with kites.
After studying the characteristics of the right-angled triangles, we discovered that four right-angled triangles joined together gave life to another geometric figure: the rhombus.
We have also discovered that this shape is typical of kites and we indulged to build colored ones with our right-angled triangles, to decorate our classroom.
We also tried to build kites using garbage bags, toothpicks and string. We have thus obtained kites, not very beautiful (we admit it), but perfectly flying and with a minimum expense.
