The children made sandwich boxes for Rainbow airways using the technique of folding the sheet of paper. They also learned its name in English, Italian and French.
We created the Rainbow airline, because the children in our kindergarten have uniform t-shirts with the logo of the kindergarten of different 11 colors depending on the group of which it is part and we have designed and made from textile materials, for 22 teachers, a stewardess costume pattern – cap, scarf, the ring of scarf, shirt, skirt or pants, shoes – for this company. This is how we started the preparations for the outdoor role-playing game “Traveling in Europe by plane”.
How to draw a plane with colored pencils? It is the question that the children sought to answer. They all agreed that the plane in size is bigger, longer and taller compared to a car and produces more noise.
The art attack in the world of flying started from a story told to the children, whose main character is the Romanian inventor Traian Vuia, the one who builds the first flight apparatus, which he calls the airplane-car.
“Traian Vuia studies the problem of human flight and begins to build his first flight apparatus, which he calls an airplane-car. Due to financial shortcomings, he failed to complete his project and instead decided to go to Paris in July 1902. He hoped that here he would find someone interested in financing the project, especially his balloon enthusiasts, but struck by skepticism over the idea that a flying car with a higher density than air could fly. He wanted to go to Victor Tatin, a well-known theoretician who had built an experimental airplane model in 1879. Tatin is immediately interested in the project but tries to convince Vuia that there is nothing to do because he lacks a suitable engine and is unstable. However, he wanted to continue to promote his project and send it to the Paris Academy of Sciences on February 16, 1903, presenting the possibility of flying with a flying machine more difficult than the air and the take-off procedure. The Academy rejects the project with the motivation that it would be too utopian, with the mention that: The problem of flying with a machine that weighs more than air cannot be solved and is only a dream. Despite these obstacles, Vuia did not give up the project and applied for a patent, granted on August 17, 1903 and published on October 16, 1903. The patented invention is called an automobile airplane. On March 18, 1906 in Montesson, near Paris, the Vuia I device, nicknamed LILIACUL, flew for the first time. After an acceleration over a distance of 50 meters, the apparatus rose to a height of almost one meter, at a distance of 12 m, after which the propeller blades stopped and the plane landed. ” Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traian_Vuia
We participated in the National Science Festival, XII edition 2019, Zalau, Salaj county, with the layout entitled “Airport” as well as the parade of the specific costumes of the trades met at any airport in the world. The children also won a prize !!!
