Kite Games

Kite Games

Year Six have been using their scratch skills to create a game to celebrate our international topic of Kites. The two player game is a race to make 10 points by travelling around the screen. The coding was quite complicated but it was great fun to do.

Kite Shape Pictures

Kite Shape Pictures

Year 2 have been learning about 2D shapes in mathematics. They’e learnt about the properties of the following regular shapes – square, circle, triangle, rectangle, hexagon, pentagon and octagon.

The children were set the challenge to create their own kite picture, but they were only allowed to use 2D shapes. The finished pictures are fantastic. Well done children!

Here are their finished pictures!

The children added some Chinese characters, fireworks and kite tails.

Kite Animations

Kite Animations

This week in computing Year 2 have been learning about animations. They know that these are short films. The children were asked to create a very short animation linked to our Erasmus Project theme – Kite Flying. Once the children had created their background they were able to copy the slide and change the position of the kite. They worked really hard. Well done Year 2!
