Aircraft research
After the visit of the museum, we saw the website of it.
It was very interesting and the pupils were delighted to do research on the net.
I think some have found their professional path

Jacob loves learning about history. He was delighted to bring in his book from home which shows some of the old aircraft that was used in the World War I. He was amazed to see that some of them were very similar to the aircraft designed and made by the Wright brothers in 1903.
We’ve had a couple of visitors in Nursery this week. Two Policemen from the airport came to see us and tell us what they do to help. They brought spare uniform and equipment for us to try and also let us sit in their police car and switch on the sirens and lights.
They also told us about the police helicopter that they use to get around the region very quickly.
Year 3 took part in an outdoor learning session linked to maths and airshows. The children used positional vocabulary to direct their peers around a grid using eight points of a compass. They developed their knowledge of how to use a compass to find North. The know that pilots in all aircraft need to be able to use a compass!
A fire fighter came to talk to year 2 about fire fighting at the airports. Natalie told us information about fire engines, safety equipment and their uniforms.
