The Frecce Tricolori (TheThree colours Arrows) is the Italian Air Force National Acrobatic Patrol , born in 1961. With ten planes, nine of which are in training and one soloist, they are the most numerous aerobatic patrol in the world. Their flight program, comprising about twenty acrobatics lasting about half an hour, made them famous and recognized as one of the best aerobatic air patrols on an international level. This year, they  took off on May 25th from its headquarters of Rivolto (UD) and, after flying over Trento,  headed towards Codogno, a symbol of the epidemic from Covid-19, finally also reaching Milan, Turin and Aosta.

The Frecce tour for the Republic Day,   will reach a total of 21 cities: on the 26th Genoa, Florence, Perugia and L’Aquila;  the towns  of Cagliari and Palermo will follow on the 27th; on the 28th in the South with Catanzaro, Bari, Potenza, Naples, Campobasso; on the 29th it will be the turn of Loreto, Ancona, Bologna, Venice and Trieste. The  grand finale will be in Rome on the 2nd of June.

For the project, the children chose a city each and represented a monument flown over by the Frecce Tricolore. Then they sent it to the teacher from home.

In this way,  they have combined History, Geography, Technology  and Art ….with all their heart.

Flying high after the lock down….
